Fowler Kia of Longmont is seeking an Automotive Apprentice Service Advisor who can warmly greet customers, schedule appointments, and act as a liaison between customers and service technicians. You will help with shuttling vehicles, writing repair orders, and assisting with parts and glass claims.

The role emphasizes developing advisory skills, including test drives with customers and accurate problem descriptions on repair orders.

Qualifications

• Valid driver\'s license and MVR acceptable to our Insurance Carrier.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively to groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments and collects customer data prior to arrival when possible.
• Greet service department customers promptly and courteously; act as liaison with service technicians.
• Calls to schedule special order parts appointments and process glass claims.
• Operate customer shuttle and manage service porter workload as needed.
• Write up customer\'s vehicle problems clearly on repair orders and verify by test drive when needed.
• Assist with writing shop purchase orders and used car repair orders; report customer concerns to Service Manager.

Fowler Kia of Longmont is searching for an Apprentice Service Advisor—someone who is equally as comfortable greeting customers as they are scheduling appointments, shuttling vehicles and acting as a liaison between our customers and our service technicians.Job Responsibilities• Schedules service appointments. Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.• Attitude is everything—greet service department customers promptly and courteously.• Calls to schedule special order parts appointments.• Schedule and file claims for glass claims.• Operate customer shuttle and Service Porter work load for moving and locating service vehicles as needed.• Develop skills as an advisor and work Saturday business.• Assist with writing shop purchase orders and used car repair orders.• Writes up customer's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.• Test drives the vehicle with customer as needed to confirm the problem or refers to test technician.• Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service.• Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.• Report any customer concerns to Service Manager.RequirementsValid Driver's License and MVR acceptable to our Insurance CarrierPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
