Role Overview

The Apprentice Optician creates value by delivering the LensCrafters Experience, ensuring customer satisfaction through key selling and service steps such as greeting, explaining processes, merchandise selection, fitting, and dispensing eyewear.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and perform sales and service processes
• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to their needs
• Educate customers on warranties, care tips, and services
• Accurately take measurements, fit eyewear, and ensure standards are met
• Operate Point of Sale systems accurately and efficiently
• Maintain store appearance and ensure safety standards

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Part of a sanctioned Apprentice Program
• Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of optical theory, merchandise, and basic math
• Familiarity with POS systems and technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Studying for LensCrafters Quality, Fitting, and Adjusting Program
• Optical dispensing experience
• Previous retail/customer service experience
