Placements24 has partnered with a major industrial manufacturing client in Randburg, Gauteng, to recruit an Apprentice Instrumentation Technician. This role blends technical college learning with practical, hands-on experience in a sophisticated industrial environment.

You will learn to install, calibrate, maintain, and repair instruments controlling temperature, pressure, flow and level, while supporting senior technicians and adhering to strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Matriculation certificate with passes in Mathematics, Physical Science, and English.
• Strong interest in electronics, automation, and control systems.
• Good problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Manual dexterity and ability to work with small components.
• Willingness to learn and follow detailed procedures.

Responsabilités

• Assist in installation and commissioning of new instrumentation systems.
• Learn to read and interpret P&ID and technical drawings.
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance of process instruments.
• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation faults and malfunctions.
• Assist in maintenance of control systems, PLCs, and DCS.
• Ensure work complies with safety and quality standards.
• Use specialized tools and test equipment for instrumentation work.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and instrument performance.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to site regulations.

About the Role

Our client, a major player in the industrial manufacturing sector located in Randburg , Gauteng, is seeking to recruit Apprentice Instrumentation Technicians. Key Responsibilities
