E.W. Wylie, a long-standing leader in heavy transportation and logistics, seeks an apprentice-level technician to learn the ins and outs of our heavy equipment shop.

You\'ll work with senior technicians, gain hands-on experience, and help keep our fleet rolling for our drivers. This role emphasizes mentorship, hands-on truck/trailer work, and growth into more complex mechanical positions within the organization.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and grow through hands-on work.
• Excellent listening and communication for mentorship and drivers.
• Basic understanding of hand tools and how to use them effectively.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and equipment (oil changes, filters, DOT inspections).
• Perform corrective maintenance including body and electrical work.
• Diagnose fleet issues using diagnostic software.
• Use maintenance software to review service history and create repair orders.
