Job summary

Black Hills Energy is seeking an Apprentice Fitter Serviceman in Cheyenne, WY, to train over three years toward Fitter Serviceman classification. The role focuses on installing and maintaining natural gas distribution and utilization facilities in a fast-paced field setting.

The position requires a High School Diploma, 2+ years in maintenance/utility work, and a Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement or the ability to obtain one within six months. CADL and safety training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent requirement.
• CDL Class A with air brake and hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within six months.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Install, re-route, repair and abandon pipe facilities in the distribution system.
• Operate vehicles and heavy equipment including trenchers and backhoes.
• Perform leak surveys and respond to emergencies and call outs.
• Maintain compliance forms and operator qualifications (OQ).
• Install and service gas facilities and perform gas meter operations.
• Provide high level customer service to internal and external customers.
