Job summary

Mechanics Hub in Ashland, VA is seeking an Apprentice Diesel Mechanic to join a seven-bay shop. You will perform light repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on a diverse fleet including Peterbilt tractors, heavy trucks, and luxury RV coaches, while benefiting from hands-on learning in a family-oriented culture.

You'll work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years general mechanical work experience in the diesel, automotive, industrial, and/or equipment fields.
• Basic service and wheel-end work skills.
• Previous heavy truck or diesel maintenance will be given preference.
• Proficiency with hand tools (half-inch to one-inch drive sockets/wrenches, impact wrench, test light, probe).
• Strong mechanic aptitude, work ethic and great attitude.
• Motivated to learn and grow within industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform light repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on a diverse fleet of vehicles including regional Peterbilt tractors and heavy-duty trucks.
• Diagnose issues and contribute to troubleshooting in a modern seven-bay shop.
• Participate in hands-on learning and mentorship within a family-oriented environment.
