Job summary

Keystone Cooperative in Michigan seeks a skilled applicator to apply crop protection and fertilizer safely on labeled crops, and to operate and maintain application equipment. You will help ensure products are applied at correct rates and billed to the right fields, while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include mixing/loading/unloading, conditioning logs, and assisting with field operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED; may be offset by experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of application experience.
• Valid driver's license; must meet Motor Vehicle Review per Company policy.
• Must obtain and maintain required state commercial applicator certification.
• Minimum of an Ag CDL.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality application of crop protection, fertilizer products and lime to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Utilize information and application equipment to apply correct products at right rates and bill fields/customers.
• Assist in mixing, loading, unloading, and transporting crop protection and fertilizer products.
• Follow all laws, regulations, and safety rules (including PPE) in handling and storing chemicals.
• Maintains safety equipment in optimum condition; follows safety regulations.
• Performs daily equipment inspections and calibration; preventive maintenance as recommended.
• Comply with regulatory guidelines in tank mixing, rinsing, and washing down both in the field and at the location.
• Assist other team members in various physical duties at the location.
• Assist with operational scouting, product transportation and services for customers.
• Follow OSHA and DOT policies; applies correct labeling and DOT numbers to equipment.
• May serve as location Safety Coordinator and adheres to EH&S policies.
