You will learn to manufacture and recondition cutting tools, set up machines, select wheels, read blueprints, perform first‑piece inspections, and ensure quality. This paid apprenticeship offers mentorship, growth, and a clear path into precision manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Strong math and problem-solving skills, including basic trigonometry.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn CNC machine controls.
• The ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience using or a willingness to learn precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to learn a skilled trade.
• The flexibility to train on 1st shift and transition to 2nd or 3rd shift after training.

Responsibilities

• Learn the complete CNC tool grinding process, from reviewing work assignments to producing finished tools.
• Set up and operate advanced multi-axis CNC tool grinding machines.
• Select the appropriate grinding wheels and tooling for each job.
• Enter tool specifications and machine parameters into CNC controls.
• Perform first-piece inspections and make machine adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Read blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
