Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking an Apprentice Baker to help craft pastries that customers love while delivering outstanding guest service. You’ll learn all aspects of the Bakery Department, assist in cake decorating, and rotate through bakery operations to gain hands-on experience.

You will work with a team, grow toward leadership, and bring culinary creativity to daily tasks. No high school diploma is required, you must be 18+ and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in bakery or related industry preferred.
• No High School diploma required.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench work and bake products according to recipes.
• Prepare and form products for scratch or prepared recipes.
• Maintain safety and sanitation in the bakery area.
• Provide exemplary customer service and assist guests.
• Assist in Cake Decorator and Clerk functions as needed.
