Federal Express Corporation seeks an Aviation Maintenance Technician to perform safe and efficient routine and non-routine maintenance on FedEx aircraft under the guidance of the Lead Aviation Maintenance Technician. The role requires lifting and maneuvering heavy components and maintaining strict safety standards at the Memphis, TN location.
The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, possess an active A&P license, and complete 36 months of on-the-job maintenance experience.
Performs safe and efficient routine and non-routine maintenance on FedEx aircraft as assigned by the Lead Aviation Maintenance Technician. Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma/GED.
Obtains on-the-job training (OJT) and 36 months proficiency in the area of aircraft maintenance to meet the experience requirements for progression to Aviation Maintenance Technician.
Valid A&P licenses. Must be able to lift & maneuver heavy aircraft-related components, parts & equipment.
Must be willing to work odd work weeks, rotating shifts, overtime, weekends & holidays. FAA Covered Safety Sensitive Position. Subject to regulatory Alcohol & Drug Testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. A valid non-restricted drivers license from the state of residence is required.
The desired location for this position would be Memphis, TN. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
