Job summary

FedEx Express is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician to perform safe and efficient routine and non-routine maintenance on FedEx aircraft as assigned by the Lead Aviation Maintenance Technician.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 36 months of aircraft maintenance proficiency, and a valid A&P license. Occasional overtime and odd shifts may apply; candidates must be able to lift heavy components and work in a safety-sensitive environment.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

Obtains on-the-job training (OJT) and 36 months proficiency in the area of aircraft maintenance to meet the experience requirements for progression to Aviation Maintenance Technician.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Valid A&P licenses.
• Must be able to lift & maneuver heavy aircraft-related components, parts & equipment.

Job Conditions

• Must be willing to work odd work weeks, rotating shifts, overtime, weekends & holidays.
• FAA Covered Safety Sensitive Position.
• Subject to regulatory Alcohol & Drug Testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• A valid non-restricted driver's license from the state of residence is required.

Preferred Qualifications

The desired location for this position would be Memphis, TN. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
