Job summary

Minot Automotive Company is seeking an Apprentice Technician to join our funded career track. No formal education or prior experience is required, and you will be PAID to learn fundamentals of electrical, engine, transmissions, driveline, and more.

You will advance at your own pace, with mentorship from expert technicians and a clear path to higher technician roles. We offer paid health/dental/vision insurance, tool bonuses, and ongoing opportunities for growth and education.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs multi-point inspection.
• Documents all work performed on the repair order.
• Recommends services based on inspection findings.
• Lubricates moving parts and checks/adjusts fluids and tire pressures.
• Completes pre-delivery quality checks and basic maintenance.
• Supports technicians in diagnostics and repairs.
• Maintains dealership-owned tools and ensures safety compliance.

1. Start off learning vehicle systems through proprietary dealer training program. Mentor side by side with highly skilled technicians on the job.

2. Move through the ranks, mentoring side by side with top technicians. Learn how to complete digital multi point inspections, check and adjust fluids, look up service procedures, perform under body inspections, recommend maintenance items, create estimates for service work and perform basic factory required maintenance.Variety!Work on a variety of vehicles including all makes and models, gas, hybrid, electric and diesel. Responsibilities

• Performs multi-point inspection

• Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants.
• Inspect and adjust fluid levels
• Check and adjust air pressure of tires
• Complete pre-delivery quality check
• Oil change
• Tire rotation
• Fuel filter replacement
• Wiper Blade replacement
• Air filter removal and replacement
• Reports vehicle defects or malfunctions to Advisor.
• Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
• Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
• Other tasks as assigned.
