Job summary

Minot Automotive Company is seeking an Apprentice Technician in Minot, ND. No formal education or experience is required, and you will be paid during a funded career track covering fundamentals of electrical and engine systems while learning on real vehicles.

You’ll advance at your own pace, receive health coverage, and enjoy employee discounts and growth opportunities in a locally owned shop.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs multi-point inspection
• Documents all work performed on the repair order
• Recommends services based on findings from a thorough inspection
• Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants
• Inspect and adjust fluid levels
• Check and adjust air pressure of tires
• Complete pre-delivery quality check
• Oil change
• Tire rotation
• Fuel filter replacement
• Wiper Blade replacement
• Air filter removal and replacement
• Reports vehicle defects or malfunctions to Advisor
• Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean and maintained

1. Start off learning vehicle systems throughproprietary dealer trainingprogram. Mentor side by side with highly skilled technicianson the job.

2. Move through the ranks, mentoringside by side with top technicians. Learn how to complete digital multi point inspections, check and adjust fluids, look up service procedures, perform under body inspections, recommend maintenance items, create estimates for service work and perform basic factory required maintenance.Variety!Work on a variety of vehicles including all makes and models, gas, hybrid, electric and diesel. • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
• Other tasks as assigned.
