Job summary

Imagine Group in Minnesota is seeking a Pressroom Helper to support the production team. Based on the daily schedule, you will check and stage components for each job ticket at the press site to maximize productivity and minimize non-running time.

You will review tickets, ensure proofs are present, inspect plates, maintain inventory, assist operators after staging, and follow safety rules. The shift is 6:00pm to 6:00am, with a rotating 5-week schedule, and opportunities to learn and grow within

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred: Previous Pressroom experience.

Responsibilities

• Review job tickets for components required.
• Ensure proofs and/or samples are in the job ticket.
• Inspect plates for any flaws, damage, or problems.
• Pre-stage all components at press site (cylinders, plates, stock, inks, tooling).
• Maintain inventory levels and storage of production components.
• Return components to storage after jobs.
• Assist operators on press after staging priorities.
• Communicate with supervisors on staging statuses and missing components.
• Work overtime or adjust hours as needed.
• Follow safety rules and keep areas clean.

SHIFT

6:00pm - 6:00am, rotating, every 5 weeks between Mon - Wed and Thurs - Sat

Job Description

• Review job tickets for components required.
• Ensure that proofs and/or samples are in the job ticket.
• Inspect plates for any flaws, damage, or potential problems.
• Pre-stage all components at press site readily available; to include print cylinders, mounted plates, stock, inks, tooling, and anything else required for the order.
• Maintain inventory levels and physical storage of production components.
• Upon completion of jobs, return production components to storage locations.
• General plant cleanup duties, i.e., emptying trash containers, sweeping, etc.
• Assist operators on press after staging priorities are completed to increase productivity.
• Communicate with supervisors on job staging statuses as that may affect scheduling. Especially identify missing components for alternative scheduling planning.
• Advise supervisors when assistance is required to maintain organization of storage locations.
• Work overtime or temporarily adjust work times as needed.
• Respect and cooperate with individuals and assist others in reaching objectives.
• Follow all safety rules/regulations, company procedures and policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
• Continually strive to learn and improve all processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications of Position

• High school diploma or equivalent.
