Job summary

Imagine Minnesota plant is seeking a press feeder operator to set up and run analog press feeder equipment, ensuring quality and productivity to meet customer expectations.

This full-time position requires a high school diploma or GED, 4+ years of printing or related manufacturing experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long shifts, and operate electric pallet jacks. Shift is 6:00pm–6:00am, rotating.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required with 4+ years of industry experience or completion of 520 hours as an Imagine temporary employee.
  • Experience in printing, manufacturing, distribution and/or fulfillment preferred.
  • Electric pallet jack certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run analog press feeder equipment per job specs.
  • Load stock, adjust guides, register board, and loading ink.
  • Maintain paper supply, ink levels, and feeder operation.
  • Read job tickets and assemble materials for the job.
  • Assist preventive maintenance and track production hours.
  • Maintain a safe, clean workspace and meet safety requirements.
  • Move materials with pallet jack and work overtime as needed.

Shift

6:00pm - 6:00am, rotating

Job Description
  • Prepare press for use by loading paper stock and adjusting for size, setting feed board, side guides, register board and delivery mechanism, and loading ink.
  • Maintain the press paper supply during the press operation.
  • Maintain press ink levels, feeder load level and feeder operation.
  • Read and understand job ticket and corresponding information to assemble materials for job.
  • Assist in completing preventive maintenance.
  • Track job production hours as applicable
  • Contribute to safety goals by maintaining a clean, clutter-free workplace, report potentially unsafe conditions and ensure that the department meets and exceeds safety requirements.
  • Meet productivity and quality standards by completing work in timely and accurate manner.
  • Move materials - paper, supplies, completed jobs using pallet jack.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications of Position
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), four plus years of relevant industry experience or 520 hours as an Imagine temporary employee along with manager's approval to hire full-time.
Preferred Qualifications Of Position
  • One plus years of experience working in printing, manufacturing, distribution and/or fulfillment.
  • One plus years of experience as a press helper in a high-volume print shop
  • Electric pallet jack certified.
Knowledge And Skills
  • Basic computer skills including email, basic mouse, keyboard, and menu navigation.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement.
  • Ability to communicate/understand basic written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to become electric pallet jack certified and use a pallet jack.
Working Conditions And Physical Requirements
  • Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping up to 8 hours a day.
  • Frequent standing for prolonged periods of time up to 8 hours a day
  • Frequent walking
  • Ability to lift, pull, push up to 50 pounds up to 8 hours a day.
  • Ability to visually inspect all work for defects including colors.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive work
