Job summary

Imagine in Shakopee, MN is seeking an Operator, Digital Print to run digital presses to production and quality standards. You will operate the presses, ensure customer specifications are met, and document labor and materials for each job.

The role requires safety awareness, basic math, and strong communication. This full-time position includes a 6:00pm–6:00am rotating shift and opportunities to grow with the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Proficient in Mac and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate digital print equipment and the software necessary for print operations.
• Complete jobs according to customer specifications in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor production output for quality during runs.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal printing conditions.
• Ensure materials for the job are in stock and available for production.
• Document production information to account for labor and materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow pressroom Safety Procedures.
• Assist Apprentices and Feeder; troubleshoot with Lead Operator.
• Work overtime as needed; perform other duties as assigned.

SHIFT

6:00pm - 6:00am, rotating

Job Description

• Operate digital print equipment and the software necessary for print operations.
• Complete jobs according to customer specifications in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor production output throughout the run for quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal printing conditions.
• Ensure materials for the job are in stock and available for production.
• Properly document production information to account for all labor and materials consumed on a job.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Properly execute pressroom Safety Procedures
• Act as a resource to Apprentice and Feeder
• Troubleshoot with the help of the Lead Operator
• Work overtime as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications of Position

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficient in computer applications, including Mac and Windows operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications Of Position

• Previous print industry experience.
• Experience using an ERP system.

Knowledge And Skills

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to follow documented procedures.
• Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions proficiently.
• Ability to read and understand tape measure and other measuring equipment.
• Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
• Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to workstation.
• Demonstrate a positive safety attitude.
