Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work of energized and de-energized conductors. Capable of setting poles and anchors according to safety policies and specifications. Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order. Capable of learning distribution voltages on a circuit and familiar with induced voltage. Capable of reading blueprints and assisting with inspecting and recognizing structural problems. Able to work productively from an aerial device. Able to function within a team environment and share knowledge with fellow crew members. Able to work alone on de-energized lines and to learn wire stringing techniques. Able to sag wire from structure or bucket and assist with assembling and erecting poles to various heights. Able to assist in framing and setting basic line structures and a de-energized pole structure in the air. Able to install all types of compression connections.
