Job summary

PACK Power, LLC is seeking a Construction Laborer to assist other craft workers on jobsites, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient site while supporting overall project goals.

The role offers nationwide opportunities with project assignments typically lasting 4 to 10 months. Base salary plus a daily per diem is provided to help with living expenses while on assignment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required, zero to twelve months of related construction experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems.
  • Commitment to safety and following procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required Safety documentation.
  • Signal operators of construction equipment to align, movement and implement.
  • Adjust machinery to load, offload, push and pull.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications using shovel or other hand tool.
  • Finish freshly poured concrete using float, trowel, or screed.
  • Position, join, align and connect pumps, motors and other mechanical or metal parts.
  • Apply caulking compounds by hand or with caulking gun to seal crevices.
  • Grind, sand or polish surfaces such as concrete and steel, using abrasive tools or machines.
  • Perform tasks involving use of hands and tools such as torquing/tensioning bolts and studs, assembling metal parts.
  • Travel to different jobsites on short notice.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Our High Voltage Division delivers comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions for critical electrical infrastructure across the utility, renewable energy, and industrial markets. Our expertise includes substations, switchyards, and transmission line systems ranging from distribution and medium voltage to extra-high voltage (EHV).

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote andcomply withall Company and safety policies and procedures
  • Complete all required Safety documentation

  • Level earth to fine grade specifications using shovel or other hand tool
  • Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using float,trowelor screed
  • Position, join,alignand connect pumps, motors and other mechanical or metal parts
  • Apply caulking compounds by hand or with caulking gun to seal crevices
  • Grind, sand or polish surfaces such as concrete and steel, using abrasive tools or
  • machines
  • Perform tasks involving use of hands and tools such as torquing/tensioning bolts and
  • studs, assembling metal parts, building bolt cages, vibrating concrete, sawing lumber,
  • dismantling forms, removing forms from concrete, and demolitions, cleanup, use of
  • jackhammers, etc.
  • May berequiredto install electrical conduit and grounding as well as pull wire through conduit and make wire connections on substation equipment
  • Perform care and maintenance of assigned tools
  • Perform substation labor on construction sites
  • May berequiredto travel to different jobsites on limited notice
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and zero to twelve months of related experiencein construction

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Take reasonable care ofyour ownand others’ health and safety and of those who may be
  • affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for
  • working toward Safety principles
  • Read andinterpret documents such as safety rules,operatingand maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals
  • Add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's;ability to
  • perform these operations using units, weightmeasurementand volume
  • Understanding of Basic Electrical Systems
  • Common sense understanding to carry out instructionsfurnishedin written or oral form
  • Be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and
  • Standards
