Job summary

GreenStone Farm Credit Services seeks an Appraisal Intern to gain hands-on experience in personal property appraisals. Based in our East Lansing, MI office, this internship runs May 2027 to August 2027 and offers an hourly rate of $20.

You will support on-site inspections, data collection, and value studies while learning from experienced staff. Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA, sophomore or higher, and strong Excel, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree; sophomores or higher.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 required.
• Interest in or experience in the agricultural sector.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with completion of personal property appraisals and/or valuations.
• Assist with on-site inspection of personal property collateral.
• Assist with collection and analysis of comparable personal property sales data.
• Completion of personal property value studies including Dairy Cattle Valuation Study, etc.
• Assist staff in providing customer service that exceeds customer expectations.

Requirements:

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree. Majors in business, finance, or related fields preferred.
• Sophomore status or above in your academic program.
• A minimum GPA of 3.00 is required.
• Strong interest in or prior experience working in the agricultural sector.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.
