Responsibilities

• Assisting in the learning activities of children with multiple cognitive, behavior, emotional and medical needs.
• Provide clerical and instructional support for the instructional teacher.
• Assist in individual or small group instruction of students on individualized goals.
• Ensure that the student performance levels, needs and abilities are supported.
• Assist students off the bus and into the building, and out of the building and on the bus.
• Assist students with lunch and feeding.
• Assist students with toileting and related medical needs.
• Lift students into and out of wheelchairs.
• Assist in behavior management and maintain a safe environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and paraprofessionals in applied skills classrooms.
