Job summary

Amazon's Prime Video is seeking an Applied Scientist to own ML models for search and discovery, applying deep learning, reinforcement learning, and optimization to help millions of Prime Video customers find what to watch.

You will work end-to-end with engineers and product managers to design, implement, and launch machine learning solutions, and you will design offline and online experiments to evaluate proposed methods. You will publish research findings and stay current with field advances.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• PhD or master’s + 4+ years CS/ML experience.
• Proficient in Java, C++, Python.
• Experience in algorithms, data mining, parallel and distributed computing.

Responsibilities

• Develop ML solutions for Prime Video Search systems using deep learning, RL, and optimization.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to design, implement and launch ML solutions end-to-end.
• Design offline and online (A/B) experiments to evaluate proposed solutions using data analyses.
• Communicate technical ideas clearly with teammates and stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements and modeling techniques in the field.
• Publish research findings in top conferences and journals.
