Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Sunnyvale seeks an Applied Scientist II to drive pioneering AI research across Generative AI, LLMs, and autonomous AI Agents for Amazon’s catalog systems. You will develop and deploy advanced ML/DL models at scale, collaborating with diverse teams to ship impactfully.

You will work on AI challenges spanning foundational research to production, contributing to scientific publications and real-world shopping experiences for millions of customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier conferences or journals.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement novel AI solutions for Amazon catalog of products.
• Develop and train state-of-the-art LLMs, Diffusion Models, and other Generative AI models.
• Build and deploy autonomous AI Agents in Amazon production ecosystem.
• Scale AI models to handle billions of diverse products across languages/geographies.
• Conduct research in Autonomous AI Agents, Generative AI, Language Modeling, Multi-modality CV, Diffusion Models, RL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into production ecosystem.
