Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to advance AI research in Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, and diffusion models for Amazon's catalog systems. The role focuses on building scalable AI solutions that impact millions of customers worldwide and integrates with production systems across languages and geographies.

The candidate will work on cutting-edge techniques, publish findings, and collaborate with senior scientists to push AI capabilities in online shopping experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience.
• PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement novel AI solutions for Amazon catalog of products.
• Develop and train state-of-the-art LLMs, Diffusion Models, and other Generative AI models.
• Build and deploy autonomous AI Agents in Amazon production ecosystem.
• Scale AI models to handle billions of diverse products across multiple languages and geographies.
• Conduct research in Autonomous AI Agents, Generative AI, Language Modeling, Multi-modality CV, Diffusion Models, RL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into production ecosystem.
• Contribute to the scientific community through publications and conference presentations.
