Job summary

Twitch is seeking an Applied Scientist to tackle open-ended problems in content contextual signals. You will lead projects across Ads, Brand Safety, Creator Sponsorship and Content Understanding using a broad ML toolbox.

Located in San Francisco, you’ll work with scientists, engineers, and product stakeholders to productionize models that empower creators and viewers. You will report to the Senior Data Science Manager for GTM.

Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver results.
• Experience with LLM model evaluations.
• Experience owning projects that involve multiple scientists and engineers.
• Proficiency with Python and SQL; experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow; AWS-based development.

Responsibilities

• Build machine learning products to enrich Twitch’s content understanding and help creators and viewers build and discover communities.
• Propose, design, and oversee execution for high-impact projects that work backwards from customer problems to develop the right solution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams to prototype and deploy models into data pipelines and ML services.
• Stay updated on and experiment with new ML techniques in LLM, computer vision, inference and model evaluation.
