Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist for Twitch in San Francisco to solve challenging problems using ML across Ads, Brand Safety, Creator Sponsorship and Content Understanding. You will lead projects, collaborate with engineers and product partners, and productionize models that empower creators and viewers to build thriving communities.

You will report to the Senior Data Science Manager for GTM. This role requires strong ML expertise, PhD or equivalent, and a passion for emerging techniques

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with 5+ years of hands-on ML experience, or 3+ with a Master, or 1+ with a PhD.
• Experience with LLM model evaluations.
• Experience owning projects that involve multiple scientists and engineers.
• Expertise with Python and SQL, plus open-source ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Build ML products to enrich Twitch's content understanding and help creators and viewers build communities.
• Propose, design, and oversee high-impact projects solving customer problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy models in data pipelines and ML services.
• Stay up to date with LLM, vision, inference, and model evaluation techniques.
