Job summary

Amazon Science in New York is seeking an Applied Scientist to advance Generative AI methods for advertising creatives. You will build end-to-end ML systems, run experiments, and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and researchers.

The role focuses on GenAI for imagery and video, exploring latent-diffusion, large language models, and related models to empower advertisers. You will publish results and contribute IP.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in CS/CE/ML or related field.
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier conferences or journals.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms, data structures, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, or HPC.
• Experience building ML models for business applications.
• Experience with experimental design.
• Experience with Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with researching, publishing, and/or developing human-in-the-loop systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive invention and development of novel Generative AI methods for ads.
• Integrate end-to-end proof-of-concept ML projects with ambiguity, scale and complexity.
• Build interface-oriented systems that deploy ML models into production with engineers.
• Run A/B experiments, collect data, and perform statistical analyses.
• Create scalable, automated processes for large-scale data analysis and model development.
• Mentor and assist recruiting of Applied Scientists.
• Present results to senior leadership and publish IP.
