Apple Inc. is seeking an Applied Scientist in Austin, TX to push the boundaries of causal inference and AIML for marketing effectiveness. You will design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge solutions that drive customer acquisition and engagement while safeguarding privacy.

Responsibilities include end‑to‑end product development, data analysis at scale, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into scalable models. Emphasis on MLOps and staying ahead of AI research.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, ML, CS, or Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience as an Applied Scientist, ML, or Data Scientist.
• Familiarity with quasi-experimental causal inference techniques (diff‑in‑diff, synthetic control, panel data, RDD, ITS, propensity score).
• Hands‑on experience building Marketing Mix models and validation through matched market testing.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Java, or C++.
• Experience with cloud platforms, Spark, Docker, and MLOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Engineer end‑to‑end scalable causal inference products to understand the health of marketing efforts.
• Dive into large data sources to uncover opportunities for automation, predictive methods, and modeling.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical specs and deliver impactful solutions.
• Stay updated on causal inference and AIML research and integrate new frameworks where appropriate.
• Champion software engineering, MLOps, code quality, testing, documentation, and data privacy compliance.
