Amazon Business seeks an Applied Science Manager to influence a $40B+ revenue portfolio by owning the science strategy that powers customer acquisition, retention, and monetization across global markets. You will guide a team of scientists to ship production models that directly affect business decisions at scale.

You’ll operate at the intersection of Marketing Science, CPS, and international teams, presenting to senior leadership and shaping multi-year investments and roadmap commitments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience.
• Knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval and Analytics.
• Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application.
• Experience building complex software systems, especially involving deep learning, machine learning and computer vision, that have been successfully delivered to customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a world-class team of applied scientists and research scientists, setting the multi-year science roadmap.
• Own the predictive modeling stack powering customer identification, targeting, churn, and engagement.
• Develop causal inference and attribution frameworks for marketing investment and ROI optimization.
• Drive experimentation and causal inference across the organization to measure incremental impact.
