Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Science Manager for the Sponsored Products and Brands team. You will lead a group of scientists and engineers to advance conversational ad experiences and scale ASA's multi-agent system across ad platforms.

You will own the research roadmap for contextual ad serving, understanding conversations, and generating commercial insights that help monetize AI chat experiences. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to turn science into business impact.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of applied research experience.
• 3+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience.
• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval and Analytics.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ASA team within SPB to innovate conversational ad experiences.
• Design and scale multi-agent system architectures for conversational commerce.
• Own science roadmap for contextual ad serving, conversation understanding, and commercial insights.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to translate science investments into measurable business impact.
