Qualifications

PhD in Geography, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science(s), or a related social science or interdisciplinary environmental field.
Demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching in an innovative interdisciplinary environment.
Independent teaching experience as instructor of record at the undergraduate level, with evidence of teaching effectiveness.
Evidence of effective student mentorship or potential to mentor undergraduate students.
Evidence of potential to contribute to an interdisciplinary and collaborative academic community.

Responsibilities

Teach five undergraduate environmental social science courses per year, including ENVS 225 and other courses in the Social Science and Policy curriculum.
Mentor undergraduate students, including through honors theses, directed readings, and independent research.
Collaborate with faculty and students across the Department and University, and contribute to the Department’s intellectual and academic community.
