Qualifications

  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Biomedical Engineering, or closely related field.
  • 3–5 years of bioinformatics experience, preferably in therapeutic or research settings.
  • Teaching or supporting graduate-level bioinformatics courses preferred.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and R; experience with genomic data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

  • Review and learn key teaching points from instructor guides; prepare and deliver lectures and hands-on exercises.
  • Facilitate in-person or online class discussions and promote active learning.
  • Guide students through bioinformatics analyses in gene therapy and genome editing contexts; provide feedback and coaching.
  • Maintain engagement with students regarding performance and progress; adhere to Northeastern policies.
