Job summary

National Health Foundation seeks a Behavior Intervention Specialist to support recuperative care guests with developmental and behavioral challenges at multiple site locations in the Los Angeles area.

The role requires applying ABA principles, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, and documenting progress while providing training to staff and guests. This is a full-time on-site position at Pico Union, Glendale, and Arleta locations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with older adults or individuals with diverse abilities.
• Minimum 6 months of relevant experience (internships, volunteer work, or related employment).
• Preferred BA in ABA or related field and RBT certification.

Responsibilities

• Study guest behavior and apply ABA principles.
• Collaborate with IDT and Director to create behavior support plans.
• Respond to crisis situations involving guests experiencing homelessness and behavioral challenges.
• Provide feedback to guests using strong communication skills.
• Document IA and progress through IBSPs and chart reviews.
• Coordinate with crisis mobile team to integrate treatment plans into guest lives.
• Train staff and guests on behavior treatment plan implementation.
