Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Operations Engineer, Applied AI to partner with internal teams across programs and explore AI-enabled platforms and infrastructure. The role combines strong technical depth with collaboration to deploy safe, robust AI-powered solutions.

As part of the team, you will develop practical testing approaches, build prototypes, and design architectures that scale with product needs while maintaining safety and responsible deployment practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM or engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in engineering or operations/process development.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal teams to design technical approaches aligned with goals.
• Serve as main technical point of contact supporting end-to-end with internal teams.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concept apps demonstrating LLM integration with Spok/Grok.
• Advise on system-on-system architecture for LLM-powered applications.
• Keep current with evolving LLM tech, best practices, and common tools.
