Job summary

Govra is seeking an Applied AI Lead in the San Francisco Bay Area with a strong background in customer-facing roles. You will own agency engagements from discovery through adoption, shaping deployments and driving measurable operational impact across government workflows.

You will collaborate with agency leaders, subject-matter experts, and frontline users to configure Govra around critical workflows, ensuring lasting value and repeatable success through scalable AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in consulting, implementation, product, operations, or another customer-facing role.
• A track record of owning high-stakes customer engagements from discovery through adoption and measurable results.
• Exceptional at turning ambiguous problems into clear structures, priorities, and decisions.
• Can reason clearly about systems, data, workflows, constraints, and failure modes.
• Ramp up quickly in new domains and go deep on the rules, workflows, data, and edge cases.
• Can lead customer conversations, communicate with clarity, and build trust from frontline users to senior executives.
• Relentless about adoption and outcomes, setting the right KPIs, managing execution against them, and delivering measurable value.
• Fluent with AI tools and workflows (or able to get there very quickly), with enough technical depth to discuss APIs, model behavior, evals, and tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Own deployments end to end: from discovery to production, adoption, and measurable impact.
• Lead discovery and solution design: map workflows, data, constraints, and success criteria; define the configured solution and roadmap.
• Drive delivery: manage configuration, data readiness, evaluations, QA, UAT, and launch with scope decisions.
• Own customer outcomes: lead relationships, drive adoption, measure value, manage account health, and identify expansion opportunities.
• Shape the product from the field: translate customer needs and blockers into product/engineering priorities.
• Codify and scale what works: create reusable AI skills, configurations, evaluations, tooling, and playbooks.
