Job description

What you’ll do

You will teach HIA seminars and workshops using our established curriculum, instructor materials, exercises, and teaching approach.

Your work may include:
  • Delivering live AI seminars and workshops for professionals, managers, and organizational teams
  • Preparing for each session and becoming thoroughly familiar with the examples, exercises, and teaching points
  • Explaining generative AI concepts in clear, professional language
  • Demonstrating practical uses of ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, and Perplexity AI platforms
  • Helping learners understand where AI performs well, where it can fail, and where human judgment and review remain essential
  • Guiding exercises, discussion, and participant questions while keeping sessions focused and on schedule
  • Representing HIA professionally in virtual and occasional in-person engagements
Who we’re looking for:

This role is for someone who already knows how professional work gets done. To be more specific, we're looking for people who have spent most of their careers doing white collar work OUTSIDE of the tech arena. That means marketing, project management, business development, law, finance, HR, business operations, supply chain management, risk management, communications, consulting, L&D, healthcare administration, or similar roles. Our learners will be in those fields and we're looking for people who deeply understand their work ... just like we do.

You should have:
  • Substantial professional experience in business, government, nonprofit, professional services, education, or another established field
  • Practical fluency with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, OR Perplexity
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
  • The confidence to answer questions thoughtfully and the judgment to say when you do not know something
  • Comfort learning and teaching HIA’s curriculum closely
  • Some evening and/or weekend availability

Prior teaching, training, facilitation, or public-speaking experience is helpful, but it is not required. We care more about whether you can command a room, communicate clearly, and help sophisticated adults learn.

What makes a strong HIA instructor

You understand that experienced professionals do not need to be dazzled by AI. They need to understand how to use it well.

You can explain something complicated without making the learner feel unsophisticated. You know how to read a room, adjust an explanation, answer an unexpected question, and keep a discussion useful.

You also understand the limits of your own expertise. You will not bluff when you do not know an answer, overstate what AI can do, or turn a class into a showcase for whatever tool happens to be fashionable that month.

Most important, you respect the expertise learners already bring with them. HIA teaches people how to use AI more effectively in work they already understand.

How we teach

HIA’s seminars are practical and designed for experienced professionals.

Our instructors teach from established HIA curriculum rather than substituting their own course or methodology. We provide the instructional framework, materials, exercises, and teaching points. Instructors bring the professional presence, judgment, examples, discussion, and human connection that make the material work in the room.

About HIA

Hybrid Intelligence Advisors helps organizations use AI to improve work, decisions, and performance. Our work includes AI strategy and advisory, implementation, responsible AI and governance, organizational training, and the development of focused AI agents and tools.

Hybrid Intelligence Academy is our education arm, providing live AI education and HIA-CAP certification for experienced professionals.

Our teaching is built around a simple idea: AI can contribute substantial capability, while professionals remain responsible for framing the work, reviewing the output, applying judgment, and approving the result.

Schedule: Classes scheduled based on demand

Location: Primarily remote within the United States, with occasional in-person opportunities

Compensation: $20 for preparation, plus $5 per class participant, subject to a minimum of $25 per class hour and a maximum of $200 per class (for example, for a 90-minute online seminar, you will be paid a minimum of $45 and a maximum of $220, depending on the number of learners in the seminar)

If you are an experienced professional who is comfortable with generative AI, and particularly good at helping other people understand complicated things, we would like to hear from you.
