Job summary

Fora, a modern travel platform, is seeking a seasoned Senior / Staff Full Stack Engineer to help build its AI-driven suite and Via co-pilot. The role combines backend and frontend work across our rapidly evolving AI stack in a high-growth environment.

Based in New York City with a hybrid WFH/office schedule, you will design MCP tooling, agent orchestration, and scalable systems. A strong background in Python, Django/Flask, and AI concepts is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of backend and frontend development experience.
• 3+ years with React / Vue.js / Angular.io.
• 3+ years with Python using Django / Flask.
• Experience building stateful and event-driven web applications.
• Experience testing web applications.
• Strong API and distributed-systems design with relational databases and ORMs.
• Genuine curiosity and drive to go deep on applied AI.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Manager and Designer to define and prioritize AI roadmap.
• Build and harden MCP tooling to expose data and services with proper guardrails.
• Design and implement agent orchestration, tool-calling loops, and multi-step workflows.
• Improve reliability with evals, tracing, and logging for non-deterministic systems.
• Focus on performance, latency, architecture, and clean code for streamed responses.
• Collaborate with engineers to define end-to-end AI solutions across services and portals.
• Take features from 0→1, owning design, implementation and delivery.
• Establish patterns and best practices for Applied AI at Fora.
