Job summary

Future is building a personalized guidance system for lifelong health. We are seeking an Applied AI Engineer to design and ship AI-powered features that directly improve our product experience and business outcomes.

You will own the full lifecycle from concept to production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to prototype quickly, validate with users, and iterate based on data. You will balance performance, latency, and cost while delivering reliable services at scale.

Qualifications

• Must have strong Python production experience and ship-ready services.
• Experience with LangChain or similar agent frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs in production: prompt engineering and tool calls.
• Proficiency with async Python, HTTP APIs, and streaming protocols (SSE).
• Experience with data validation and schema design (Pydantic, JSON Schema).
• Ability to debug across layers from LLM calls to infra issues.
• Clear communication with product, mobile, and backend teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship AI agents that serve real users with tool-calling LLM systems and streaming outputs.
• Design evaluation harnesses and quality scoring using Langfuse and related rubrics.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle: prototype, eval, deploy, monitor, iterate.
• Improve reliability, latency, and cost via caching, budgets, retries, and observability.
• Write tooling and integrations with API validations and local data search.
