Job summary

Hygiena in Camarillo, CA is seeking an Applied AI Engineer (LLM Applications Engineer) to design, develop, and deploy ML models on site in a full-time role. You will collaborate with product and engineering to identify AI/ML use cases that drive measurable business impact, and build end-to-end pipelines in Azure cloud.

The candidate will integrate AI capabilities into the SureTrend platform via APIs, monitor production performance, and document methodologies and results for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, ML, DS or related field.
• 3–5 years of applied ML/AI engineering experience.
• Strong Python with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn; PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• End-to-end ML pipeline development: data prep, feature engineering, training, evaluation and deployment.
• Cloud-based ML infrastructure (Azure ML, Azure AI Services).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML models and AI features using Python and common frameworks.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to identify AI/ML use cases with measurable impact.
• Build and maintain ML pipelines for data ingestion, feature engineering, model training and deployment in Azure.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into the SureTrend platform via APIs with .NET/C# and React services.
• Monitor model performance in production; design retraining pipelines and drift detection.
• Document methodologies, data requirements, and performance benchmarks; report findings to stakeholders.
