Job summary

OpenAI, a leading AI research and deployment company, is seeking an Enterprise Applied AI Engineer to partner with major organizations to design, build, and deploy AI systems that deliver measurable business outcomes.

You will work hands-on to prototype, evaluate, and productionize solutions while addressing model behavior, latency, cost, safety, security, governance, and operational readiness. This role is based in SF or NYC with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Expertise in building AI or ML systems for enterprise environments.
• Proficient in Python; capable across AI application stack; JS/TS experience is a plus.
• Strong ability to translate deployment experience into product feedback and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI systems for enterprise customers with measurable outcomes.
• Write and debug code, build evaluation harnesses, and reference implementations.
• Partner with customer teams and OpenAI stakeholders to drive production readiness and adoption.
