Job summary

Unify is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to bring new agent capabilities from zero to production. You will own the agent harnesses that translate model capabilities into actionable tasks: planning, tool execution, context management, memory, and error recovery.

You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering to research accounts, identify opportunities, and deploy GTM workflows. You’ll move from prototype to customer usage, using evaluations and real traces to improve the product and

Qualifications

3+ years of software engineering experience shipping LLM applications to production.
Experience building systems with tool calls, multi-step execution, and evaluations.
Strong programming in TypeScript or Python with backend and API integration.
Empirical thinker who defines success through experiments and data.
Customer-focused, able to translate product ideas into deployed solutions.
Initiative, rapid learning, and collaboration in uncertain environments.

Responsibilities

Build agent harnesses to enable complex workflows.
Ship AI products end to end by connecting agents to data and workflow infra.
Create evaluative traces and failure analyses to improve agent behavior.
Ensure production reliability, latency, and cost, with resumable long-running tasks.
Experiment with new capabilities and bring successful patterns into the product.
Shape the AI foundation by building reusable tools and engineering practices.
