Raydar is seeking an Applied AI Engineer in San Francisco to design, run and productionize AI agents that handle live data with strict reliability targets. The role blends hands-on engineering with experimentation and gives you ownership of how results are measured and shipped.

You will prototype and deploy systems using Python, build evaluation frameworks that test an agent’s reasoning and actions end-to-end, and help steer the direction of applied research.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and running applied research programs for model reliability, inference cost, and output quality.
• Proficiency in Python programming and building testing tools to measure automated assistants.
• Background from a top university and demonstrable AI research or open-source impact.

Responsibilities

• Design and run applied research programs on model reliability and inference costs.
• Build evaluation frameworks to judge the full sequence of an agent's actions.
• Contribute to storage, retrieval, and use of prior information by automated assistants.
