Job summary

Aaru is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to join our in-person New York team. You will work on high-leverage initiatives at the intersection of AI systems, simulation infrastructure, and product development.

You will prototype, evaluate, and iterate on ideas, moving from ambiguous problems to reliable systems in a fast-paced, evidence-driven environment. You will primarily code in Python and TypeScript, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure capabilities are usable and maintainable in

Qualifications

• Experience with AI-native products, agents, or LLМ applications.
• Experience building evaluation tools, test harnesses, or reproducible fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Improve agent functionality within Aaru's product, including interaction design and model behavior.
• Optimize simulation pipelines to increase throughput and efficiency.
• Build evaluation harnesses and supporting architecture to testable, reproducible Agent and simulation capabilities.
• Prototype and evaluate promising company bets through focused experiments and technical investigations.
• Collaborate with engineering and GTM teams to make new capabilities usable and dependable in workflows.
• Write clear technical designs and documentation, showing assumptions, dependencies, tradeoffs, and risks.
