Job summary

McAfee is seeking an experienced AI Infrastructure Lead to own the AI CoE platforms—AI Gateway, MCP factory, and skills catalog. The role is hybrid, based in Frisco, TX, onsite as needed, with remote work options when not onsite.

You will secure, scale, and evolve the AI foundation while partnering with InfoSec and Cloud Infra to support POCs and tool adoption. You will build prototypes end-to-end, showcase to senior leadership, and continuously scan the AI frontier to guide McAfee's AI strategy

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience building agents and AI tooling.
• Experience standing up and managing AI/platform infrastructure.
• Experience managing an AI gateway or API/model‑access gateway.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js for MCP servers and integrations.
• Hands‑on experience with a major cloud platform in production.
• Designing or integrating REST APIs with authentication patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI Center of Excellence infrastructure, including AI Gateway and MCP factory.
• Manage logging, model routing, and cost controls with InfoSec and Cloud Infra.
• Build and maintain MCP servers, skills, and plugins for rapid agent development.
• Own MCP roster and skills registry, handling intake, vetting, and publishing to AI Tool Hub.
• Evolve infrastructure to scale capacity and reliability as demand grows.
• Drive model routing across providers (AWS Bedrock, Claude Enterprise) and ensure observability.
• Create and present prototype depth demos to senior leadership.
