Job summary

McAfee’s eCommerce Engineering Intelligence team seeks a Lead AI & Data Engineer to own a unified data platform and our AI enablement strategy across engineering, shipping agents, and productivity tools used daily by teams.

This hybrid role is based in Frisco, TX, requiring on-site presence as needed; you must be within commutable distance. You will build ETL/ELT pipelines, surface KPIs, and ship AI agents that detect anomalies and accelerate root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in application development.
• 3+ years in data engineering and analysis.
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered applications.
• Production RAG systems or LLM-integrated internal tools experience.
• Experience building production data pipelines and analytics platforms.
• Strong cross-functional partnership with Product, SRE, Security, and Architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design a unified operational intelligence platform combining system signals with commercial performance.
• Ingest data from eCommerce, MarTech, observability, and operational datastores into analytics-ready and AI-ready pipelines.
• Surface standardized engineering metrics across teams (delivery velocity, quality, security posture, incident trends).
• Ship AI agents that detect anomalies and drive intelligent triage for root-cause analysis.
• Build AI productivity tools that help teams ship faster and operate more reliably.
