Job summary

Landing Point is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to join its AI Innovation Lab in New York. You will prototype and integrate AI-powered solutions to drive business value, building chat experiences, copilots, and automation for internal teams.

You will own prompt design, embed pipelines, and collaborate to transition pilots to governed, secure solutions, working with the Data MVP/Platform team and ensuring privacy and compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software/ML engineering or applied data science.
• Experience building with large language models or similar advanced AI systems.
• Strong Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript skills.
• Familiarity with data platforms and modern data stacks, such as Snowflake.
• Comfort working in ambiguous problem spaces and understanding AI governance and security.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered prototypes and pilots for internal teams, including chat/agent experiences and workflow automation.
• Integrate LLMs and AI services with enterprise systems (APIs, data warehouses, productivity tools).
• Stand up vector retrieval/embedding pipelines and lightweight orchestration layers for pilots.
• Own prompt engineering and system prompt design for pilot use cases.
• Run small-scale evaluations and instrument prototypes to collect feedback and usage data.
• Collaborate with Data MVP/Platform team to transition pilots to governed solutions.
• Implement privacy, security, and compliance controls as defined by the Lab and CTO.
• Document pilot architecture, data flows, and limitations, and teach business users.

Job Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered prototypes and pilots, including chat/agent experiences, workflow automation, and intelligent copilots for internal teams.

Compensation

Salary: $175,000 - $250,000, Plus Bonus
