Applicator/Truck Driver

Company: CHS Inc. – a leading global agribusiness serving agriculture customers worldwide.

Base Pay Range: $18.85/hr – $30.10/hr

Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizer and crop protection products under general supervision, using high‑clearance sprayers or floaters as needed.
• Pick up and deliver product to customers and assist sales staff with order accuracy.
• Operate equipment and perform warehouse tasks including forklift, loader, and maintenance duties.
• Travel and drive in compliance with state and federal Hours of Service regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and work environment and perform daily equipment inspections.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and safety regulations regarding hazardous materials.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Training Provided

• Crop protection product mixing
• Operation of application equipment

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements or willingness to obtain them.
• Minimum age requirement met.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals.

Additional Qualifications

• Maintain a valid CDL and DOT medical card.
• Willingness to work additional hours and occasional weekends.
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
• Agriculture background and customer experience preferred.
• Pass required pre‑employment screenings (drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical, FMCSA Clearinghouse).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Capability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins, including back of trailers.
• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions.
