Job summary

The State of North Carolina - Secretary of State is seeking an experienced Applications Systems Analyst II to design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable web applications that support business operations. You will work with stakeholders and a cross-functional team to deliver software meeting performance expectations.

Responsibilities include developing with C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, and SQL Server, optimizing applications and databases, and documenting system specifications while assisting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of experience in business application consulting or development.
  • Experience with C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, MS SQL Server, HTML5/JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Familiar with SDLC and Azure DevOps and/or Git.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS.
  • Strong communication skills, team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain secure, scalable web applications using C# and ASP.NET Core MVC.
  • Design relational databases, optimize performance, and write SQL queries.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements.
  • Define specifications, create documentation, and support users.
  • Mentor junior programmers and consultants as needed.

The Night Before the End DateNorth Carolina Secretary of State is seeking an experienced ASP.NET Core MVC Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance web applications that support business operations and organizational objectives. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and cross-functional development team to gather requirements, design technical solutions, and deliver software that meets functional and performance expectations.Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining applications using C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, design and define relational databases, reengineer and automate processes to make them more efficient and streamlined, optimizing applications and database performance, define business rules, develop program specifications, help employees and customers with system problems, develop complete system documentation, and may supervise lower-level programmers and consultants.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/AND ABILITIES:Extensive work experience with client/server applications development software including; C#, Asp.Net Core MVC, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML5 JavaScript, jQuery, developing and optimizing SQL queries.Knowledge and experience with modern Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)methodology/platform such as Azure DevOps and/or Git.Experience with Agile processes and methodologies.Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to communicate effectively in oral and written form with employees in the department and customers.MANAGEMENT PREFERENCES: Management prefers applicants with at least 5 years work history showing Web development experience using C#, Asp.Net Core MVC, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, developing and optimizing SQL queries.
