Job summary

The City of Akron is seeking a technically skilled professional to coordinate and support its business application systems. You will oversee operation, evaluation, problem resolution, and maintenance for one or more business applications, working with vendors and staff to ensure secure, reliable systems.

Responsibilities include planning upgrades, documenting configurations, supporting users, generating reports, and ensuring license compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years paid experience in network, database or business application support.
• Bachelor degree may be substituted with related training and paid experience.
• Good understanding of client/server applications and databases.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support and maintenance for business application systems.
• Coordinate upgrades, patches and problem resolution.
• Work with vendors to design and implement new applications.
• Assist with security governance and access controls.
• Assist users with reports and problem resolution.
• Test, implement, and coordinate changes.
