Job summary

Citi in New York seeks a Senior Application Support Analyst to keep trading and business applications running smoothly while driving improvements in stability, efficiency and service quality. You will join a technology support team responsible for day-to-day performance, issue resolution, risk reconciliation and release support, collaborating with global teams to strengthen Citi's technology services.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate information from multiple sources.
• Experience using issue tracking, reporting and problem management tools.
• Ability to organize workload and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior application support analyst for Citi's trading and business users, resolving issues quickly to maintain system stability and performance.
• Maintain application systems and their operating environments, keeping quality and functionality aligned with service level expectations.
• Run start-of-day checks, continuous monitoring and regional handovers to maintain smooth operations around the clock.
• Perform same-day risk reconciliations and assess the impact of production issues, escalating promptly to business and technology management.
• Identify risks, vulnerabilities and security issues across supported applications and communicate their impact to stakeholders.
• Partner with development and production support teams to prioritize bug fixes and shape tooling requirements.
• Support application releases from development through testing and deployment, then review results to confirm successful performance.
• Coach junior analysts and act as the key liaison between users, internal technology teams and vendors.
