Job summary

Zurich Instruments seeks an expert application support engineer to assist customers across the United States with our test and measurement instruments, including lock-in amplifiers, impedance analyzers, and arbitrary waveform generators.

You will conduct onsite system integration, demos, and training, build lasting customer relationships, and contribute to technical content and sales feedback. This role blends advanced instrumentation work with customer-facing impact and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in Physics, EE, or related experimental science with hands-on lab experience.
• Solid practical experience with dynamic signal measurement.
• Familiarity with lock-in detection, impedance spectroscopy, or waveform generation; Python for data analysis.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to academic and industrial audiences.
• Customer-oriented mindset and ability to build relationships across a large territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert application support to customers across the US using Zurich Instruments' test and measurement instruments.
• Conduct onsite system integration, demonstrations, and training at customer laboratories.
• Build and maintain customer relationships to support sales growth and retention.
• Represent Zurich Instruments at trade shows, conferences, and academic events across the US.
• Collaborate with global sales and product teams to relay customer feedback and application insights.
• Produce technical content, including application notes, presentations, product documentation, and demonstration videos.
• Develop commercial skills in a role combining technical work with customer-facing impact.
